The Nobang Jungchimak [Black] by LEESLE reinterprets the traditional Korean jungchimak through an exceptionally light, semi-sheer fabric and a modern unisex silhouette.

Historically, the jungchimak was a long outer robe worn during the Joseon Dynasty, particularly by royalty and scholar-officials. Its wide sleeves, long side openings and graceful proportions were designed to combine freedom of movement with an elegant, dignified silhouette.

LEESLE brings those distinctive lines into contemporary fashion using nobang, a fine translucent fabric that gives the coat an airy, almost floating quality. Deep black adds a modern edge while allowing the clothing underneath to remain subtly visible.

Long side slits create beautiful movement as you walk, while the generous sleeves can be worn extended or folded back to alter the silhouette. Design Details
The long side slits are inspired by the characteristic construction of the traditional jungchimak and create fluid movement when walking. The semi-sheer black fabric gives the historical silhouette a distinctly contemporary feel.
